Well, it all started when my main PC died. Suddenly, I found myself without
email. In fact, I could barely access any applications or data on the PC.
Panic set in fast. Like most people I live on email, but unlike most people I
used Eudora for my email client instead of the much more popular Microsoft
Outlook. I adopted Eudora many years ago when Outlook was seen as the source
of many hacking and spam attacks. Eudora was a great alternative (although
recently they reported going open source, so it's hard to tell which way this
application will go).
So here was my challenge: once I get access to my Eudora data, how do I
convert those millions of emails (I keep everything) into Outlook on my new Dell
XPS 1730 laptop? I had not a clue. Eudora wouldn't even launch and I
knew it had no meaningful export capabilities. Outlook has pretty good
import/export abilities but not from Eudora. Surely, someone, somewhere made a
tool that could convert and import my vast history of Eudora email messages
into Outlook?

A quick search on Google found my solution: ABC
Amber Outlook Converter. It's a long name but a great tool. It
installed within a few seconds on my laptop. I simply told it we were going to
import all of my Eudora email messages into Outlook.
ABC
Amber Outlook Converter displayed all of my old Eudora email folders
and asked me if I wanted to import everything or selective messages. I chose
everything and let it do its work. There are several years of messages dating
back to 2002 so it did take the better part of an hour, but it did a perfect
job. All my folders and all my messages showed up 100% intact.
ABC
Amber Outlook Converter does a ton of other things besides convert
email messages between applications. You can also convert your email messages
to a variety of other formats including PDF, DOC, RFT, HTML (with bookmarks)
as well as CHM and HLP (help file formats) and plain text. You can use this
tool to maintain an archive of all of your messages in one place.
If you have a need to import, export or convert your Outlook email
