There is a new Sample Plan Browser that enables you to search for completed plans written for businesses like yours. You can view them with the built-in browser and Adobe Acrobat Reader. There are probably over 200 plans included in this new version of Business Plan Pro 2002. And let's not forget you receive a FREE copy of Hurdle: The Book on Business Planning, written by Palo Alto CEO and creator, Tim Berry. Combined with the exhaustive manual, you have step-by-step instructions on how to develop and publish your own plan. Business Plan Pro 2002, like its earlier versions and companion products, still features the EasyPlan Wizard which guides you through the various sections of a plan, shows you examples of text and financials, and explains the general strategy for constructing a compelling plan. When your plan is completed, you may print it, send it to Kinko's online for batch printing and distribution, export it to Microsoft Word, create an Adobe Acrobat PDF file or export it to an HTML file for posting to a web site. Of special interest here are some new options which enable you to print different versions of the plan for different audiences. There are shorter versions for friends and family, and other versions featuring the main financials for loan officers at banks. This is a very strong feature. In previous versions, you were left at the end with a substantial plan, but it was sometimes too hefty for different audiences. Everyone wants to see something different, and whenever possible, skim read just the highlights. Being able to print these different versions will help position you in the right light with each respective reader. The companion PowerPoint templates are professionally designed and look very clean and organized. By pulling key words and phrases and numbers from your plan (manually), you will be able to create several different presentations for different audiences. This is a time-saver and a great "extra" which shows thought and concern on the behalf of Palo Alto. They want you to use their product, but more importantly, they want to help you to succeed. There are additional links to other tools and web sites throughout this application. Too many here to mention, but each one is a great help to the first-time and the even to the experienced plan writer. Business Plan Pro 2002 is about as complete as this tool can get.
