Instructions

Please use this form to personally nominate a product for Cool Tool Award consideration. Developers or companies may nominate their own products. If we find the nominated tool of interest, we will contact you with additional instructions. If you do NOT hear from us, please do not resubmit.

Once selected for evaluation, we will need a fully functioning copy of the software for our review (no cripple-ware or time limited versions, please).

Please include URLs for downloading copies of your software as well as any registration keys required to turn up full functionality in the product. If you prefer to ship a copy of your shrink-wrapped software to us, please use the following shipping information:

Please note, our policy is not to return products after the review has been completed and posted.

We will cross-link your review to your web site. If you receive an award, you will be expected to post the graphic in a prominent place on your web site, and to cross-link it to your review. We appreciate your cooperation in these matters.

Notes

1. We will only post favorable reviews of submitted products. However, if we do not think your product is ready for review on our site (due to bugs, poor documentation, lack of support, etc.) , then we will notify you accordingly. We are not beta testers. Evaluation and review typically takes between two to four weeks, based upon the number of active submissions. Don't email us. We will contact you!

2. We will absolutely not accept nominations submitted through an auto-submission tool or robot utility. You must fill out the form personally. If we receive too many submissions from the same individual, corporation, or developer's group, we will be forced to completely ignore your submissions. Our instructions are simple and direct, so please comply to speed the review process.

3. Shareware developers should pick their single best product for review rather than submit multiple tools for review. If we are interested in your other tools, we will let you know.

4. Developers should read the other product reviews currently listed on our web site to get a feel for what we like, and to insure they are not submitting yet another image browser or skinnable CD player. We are looking for innovative tools, and we prefer multi-function tools over single-function tools.

5. Software product submissions must be Windows/PC-based only. We regret we can not evaluate or review Mac-based or LAN-based products at this time. NO GAMES OR SCREEN SAVERS EITHER.
   
   Please show some restraint and thought in making your submission. We understand that everyone would like to have their product reviewed and to receive an award, but due to the growing popularity of this free site, and time and man power constraints we can not make this a reality for everyone.
